It has now been a tradition for the Conquer team to stop with the nation to enjoy the Melbourne Cup celebrations. This year we all meet at the Norman Hotel, Woolloongabba to enjoy a sit down lunch and a few beers. It was great to see Amanda and Akane join the celebrations with their lovely young daughters, Olivia & Archie.
Rowan and Al had a moment to recall the venues and restaurants that Conquer has celebrated the Melbourne Cup over the years:
2005: Restaurant in Seven Hills (Now a Thai restaurant near the round about)
2006: 16 Footer Boat Club, Bulimba (Now closed)
2007: Café Citrus
2008: Lord Stanley, East Brisbane
2009: Norman Hotel, Woolloongabba
2010: East League Club, Coorparoo
2011: Carina Leagues Club, Carina
2012: East Leagues, Coorparoo
A great time was had by all this year and the Conquer tradition of getting together and having a good time will continue.
